William R. "Dog" Favel

William R. “Dog” Favel, 65 of Gaylord, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at home. He was born on January 21, 1956 in Flint, the son of Cecil and Ella (Walworth) Favel.

For most of his life, Dog was a welder and fabricator. He not only did this for a living, but also enjoyed it as his hobbies.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mary (Jones) Favel; his daughter, Michelle Favel of Detroit; two step-daughters, Mary (Tom) Bolda and Theresa Decker both of Harrison Township; two grandsons, three great-grandchildren; four step-grandsons, one step-granddaughter and three brothers, Andy, Arnold and Linwood Favel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, LeRoy Favel.

A memorial service will take place 11:00AM Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Gaylord Seventh-Day Adventist Church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to InTeliCare Hospice.
