William E. Gronda

William E. Gronda, 82 of Indian River, passed away August 15, 2018 at home. Born in Wyandott on November 7, 1935, Willy was the son of Ernest and Teresa (Tuttle) Gronda.

Willy worked for more than 20 years at Ford Motor Company. Later he owned and operated Willindas’s party store from 1980-2000 in Conway. He was a parishioner at Cross in the Woods Catholic Church in Indian River. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and volunteering at bingo.

Willy is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Paul Gronda of Pittsburg, KS, James (Mara) Jones of SanDiego, CA and Betty Hatfield of Alanson; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Jean) Gronda of Ocala, FL, Charles (Pat) Gronda of Prump, NV and Ernest (Eve) Gronda of Grosse Ile and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Cross in the Woods Shrine in Indian River where the family will visit with friends beginning at 11:00 AM.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to McLaren Hospice.
