Walter Lester Puroll

Walter Lester Puroll, 80 of Warner Township, Boyne City, died on Friday, March 1, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Born on May 14, 1932 on the family farm in Elmira, Walt was the son of Walter and Rose (Kwapis) Puroll. On November 5, 1955 Walt married Waneta Marie Curtis at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Elmira. He was a self employed logger and farmer. Walt enjoyed hunting and fishing, going to auctions and spending time with his family, especially the children and grandchildren. He is survived by Waneta, his wife of 57 years; his children, Louie W. (Devonna) Puroll of Arizona, Randy C. Puroll of Elmira, William G. Puroll of Mesick, Mary J. Goy of Boyne City, Cindy L. (Jamie) Brown of Dade City, FL, John L. Puroll of Boyne City, Daniel S. Puroll of Boyne City, David A. (Martha) Puroll of Lakeland and Jeanne M. (Eric) Belford of Elmira; 27 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Pauline Prusakiewicz, Dorothy (Frank) Woskoski, Donald (Sally) Puroll, Chester Puroll, Rosalind Jaroneski, Leonard (Pam) Puroll and Patricia (Alan) West. He was preceded in death by a sister, Anastasia Stark and brothers, Sylvester and Vincent Puroll. The Mass of Christian Burial for Walter will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Matthew Catholic Church,1303 Boyne Avenue, Boyne City with The Rev. Duane Wachowiak and The Rev.
