Virginia Kay Fahler, 76 of Gaylord, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, May 3, 2021.
Born in Flint, Michigan on October 23, 1944, she was the daughter of Jerry and Virginia (Yuhaz) Gyorkos.
A long time Gaylord resident, Virginia was known to many as the bartender at the Tip-Top Bar & Restaurant. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and crafts. Also an avid gardener, she enjoyed spending time working in her flower gardens. She and her husband, Ralph, enjoyed spending winters in Texas for several years.
Her Husband, Ralph, preceded her in death in 2020. Surviving are her daughters, Kimberly (Dano) Schuelke and Lynn Rae (Jeff) Prusakiewicz both of Gaylord; grandchildren, Alex, Austin, Jake, Jax, Ashley and Hayley; a great granddaughter, Gracelyn; a brother, Gerald (Vicki) Gyorkos of Concho, AZ; her beloved dog, Mitzi; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; a son, William Nash; a sister, Nancy Jane Joslin and a grandson-in-law, Kody.
Virginia’s family will remember her privately at a family gathering. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan.
