Viola E. Bryan

Viola Elaine Bryan, 86 of Gaylord, died on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at McReynolds Hall. Born on September 14, 1927 in Detroit, Viola was the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Cranker) Lohner. Viola and her husband, Milton H. Bryan were motel owners and moved to Gaylord from the Lansing area in 1989 after retiring. They were members of Gaylord Country Club. She enjoyed sewing, reading, basket weaving and will be remembered by her family for her wonderful cooking. Milton preceded Viola in death in 2002. She is survived by her children, Judy (Robert) Graczyk of Gaylord, Jennifer (Sheldon) Deutsch of Clarkston and David Bryan of Lansing; grandchildren, Melinda Graczyk of Redford, Sean Graczyk of Beaverton, OR, Tanya (Jeff) Biernat of Oakland Twp., Andrea (Michael) Johnson of Howell, Alex Bryan of Lansing and Allyson (Cruz) Thornsberry of Lebrun, KY; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Valery (Orly) Wise of Stanwood; brothers, William Lohner of San Diego, CA, Joseph Lohner of Springville, TN, Dale Lohner of Buchanan, TN and several nieces and nephews. Viola’s family will remember her privately and memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home, 850 North Center Avenue.
