Victoria Lynn “Vicki” Schneiderwendt, 66 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Thursday, May 2, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.

Born in Detroit, MI on April 9, 1953, Vicki was the daughter of Irving and Margaret (Martin) Miller.  The family later moved to Alpena where she graduated from Alpena High School.

In 1972 Vicki married Larry A. Schneiderwendt in Herron, MI.  The family lived for many years in Gaylord where she worked in food service at Gaylord Middle School.  Later she went to work at Jay’s Sporting Goods, where she loved her job and made many friends.

Vicki love the outdoors, enjoying time spent hunting and fishing, gardening, feeding the birds and walking her dogs.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.  Her grandchildren and great granddaughter brought her endless joy.  She enjoyed bonfires with family and friends as well as playing cards and board games.

Vicki was a very well grounded person; strong in her values and her convictions.  She was a loyal friend and a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She had a generous nature and a loving heart that will be missed by all those who knew her.

Vicki was preceded in death by her Husband, Larry in 2015.  Surviving are her daughters, Rebecca J. Koleszar of Gaylord and Jennifer L. (Brian) Hunter of Indiana, PA; her mother, Margaret J. Miller of Gaylord; grandchildren, Whitney Joyce of Gaylord, Caleb Joyce of Johannesburg, Brewer Koleszar of Gaylord and Liam Hunter of Indiana, PA; a great granddaughter, Lydia Buckler of Gaylord; a sister, Amy (Larry) Parks of Kingsley; a niece, Hillary Parks and a nephew, Josh Parks both of Kingsley.  Also preceding her in death were her father, Irving C. Miller and her brother, Matthew M. Miller.
