Trude Bigelow Croff, 54 of Alanson, passed away at home on Monday, June 6, 2016.

Born in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Trude was the daughter of Clifford and Ester (Castle) Bigelow.  She grew up in Rexton and Epoufette on the shores of Lake Michigan with her five siblings.  The daughter of a commercial fisherman, Trude was raised to appreciate the natural beauty of Michigan’s lakes and countryside.

She attended Central Michigan University studying fine art and design, graduating cum laude in 1985.  An accomplished artist, Trude had a love for vibrant color, working in pen and ink, watercolor, pastels and oils.  Her work was rooted in her appreciation for the natural world. It portrayed the honesty and purity found in nature and is collected by individuals all over the world.

Trude had a love for fly fishing that she shared with her husband, Phillip Croff, whom she married November 22, 1997.

She is also survived by her mother, Ester Bigelow; her brother, Hugh and sisters, Lori and Betsie.  She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford; a brother, Cliff a sister, Shelly and her beloved chocolate lab, Rozzi.

Trude had a love for helping other people learn about Jehovah God.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s witnesses, 3069 Jackie Lane, Brutus, MI, 49716.
