Troy S Walsh

Troy S. Walsh, 49 of Johannesburg, died on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Gaylord. Born in Lansing on September 22, 1965, Troy was the son of Donald E. and Mary E. (Middaugh) Walsh. He moved to Gaylord with his family in 1966.

Troy worked as a tree trimmer. He had worked for a number of companies including Davey Tree Experts and Nelson Tree Service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Troy enjoyed being a Boy Scout volunteer and he loved animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary. Surviving are his sister, Brenda (Dan) Moore of Johannesburg; brothers, Mark Walsh of Durand and Shawn Walsh of Johannesburg and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special friends, his “other family”, Richard and Charlene Summerix, their daughter, Heather ( Shawn) Sygo and son Patrick Summerix all of Gaylord.

Memorial services for Troy will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Mt. Hope Church, 1672 East M-32 in Gaylord, where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.

Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Otsego County Animal Shelter. Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home, 850 North Center Avenue.
