Thomas V. Reed

Thomas V. Reed, 60 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024, at home. Born November 30, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Robert and Patricia (Pacynski) Reed. 

Tom coached the Youth Bowling League in Gaylord for many years. He worked at Cooper Standard for 10 years where he made automobile parts. He loved to write poetry and sing. His greatest pride and joy was his grandson, Cooper. They had a special bond where they loved going fishing, playing video games, and watching/going to sporting events together. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Lisa; his children, Victoria (Daniel) Moran and Nichole Reed; his stepchildren, Samantha Vanier and Jacob Vanier; three special grandchildren, Cooper Vanier, Kylee Moran and Danny Moran; his brothers and sister, Randy (Rita) Reed, Gary (Vanessa) Reed, Jon (Gina) Reed, Eric Reed, Darren Reed, Rebecca (William) Hites and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A memorial service will take place 2:00 PM Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Life Tabernacle in Gaylord, where the family will visit with friends beginning at 1:00 PM. A luncheon will follow. Pastor Paul Brown will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lisa Reed, through the funeral home, 850 N. Center Avenue, Gaylord, MI 49735.
