Theresa Ann Haley

Theresa Ann Haley, 88 of Gaylord, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at The Brook in Gaylord. 

Born November 17, 1935, in Saginaw, Theresa was the daughter of Stanley and Anna (Rutkowski) Zdrojkowski. She grew up in Saginaw where she graduated from St. Andrew Catholic High School.

On May 26, 1956, Theresa and Michael were married at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saginaw. They lived in and raised their family in Saginaw. 

Theresa was a stay-at-home mom where she kept busy raising the couple’s four children. After the kids were grown, Theresa went to work at Team One Credit Union. In 1992, the Haley’s moved to Gaylord to be near family, and where Theresa worked for more than 20 years at Jim Wernig Chevrolet as a bookkeeper.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed shopping, ceramics, playing bingo, and bowling. In later years she enjoyed taking care of her flowers and visiting area casinos, where she was almost always a winner. She loved spending time with her family, always looking forward to annual Zdrojkowski family reunions.

Theresa was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Haley in 2009, and her beloved husband, Michael, in 2013; her sister, Betty Sauvie; and her brother, Walter Zdrojkowski. 

Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn (Charlie) Willits of Gaylord; and sons, Patrick Haley and Thomas (Jodi) Haley both of Kawkawlin, Michigan; her grandson, Michael Willits and great grandson, Branson Willits of Gaylord; her step granddaughter, Nicole (Brandon)McGraw of DeWitt, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where the family will visit with friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place later at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Saginaw.
