Terri A. Comps

Terri Ann Comps, 62 of Cheboygan, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Vitalcare Hospice House in Cheboygan. Born in Mt. Clemens on November 27, 1956, she was the daughter of Charles and Eileen (Peters) Comps.

Terri was raised in Rochester when it was in the country. As a young lady, she enjoyed girl scouts, 4H, gardening, taking care of the farm animals and snowmobiling.  In 1974, she graduated from Adams High School and went onto college to become an Optician.  For many years, Terri worked at Burns Clinic as an Optician and later worked for Dr. Trumbull, Dr. Jarvi and Dr. Sam. She loved being an Optician, helping people find the right fit for their glasses and playing as fashionista with the patients.  In 1990, she met Paul and they moved to Topinabee. They bought property in Burt Township where she enjoyed flower gardening, feeding the birds, entertaining friends and family around the fire or on the deck. She loved driving her little red sports car. Terri was loved by so many, she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her significant other of 29 years, Paul Williard of Cheboygan; her brother, Jeff (Karen Fullford) Comps of Indian River and her sister, Paula Comps of Rochester Hills.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sandra Anderson.

A celebration of life gathering will take place from 12:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Topinabee Pavilion. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to McLaren Home Care and Hospice. Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.
