Teresa Ann Tippett

Teresa Ann Tippett, 73, of Harbor Springs, went with Jesus to dance on Heaven's streets of gold on July 7th, 2023, at McLaren Northern Michigan hospital surrounded by family and friends.

Teresa was born on November 5, 1949, in Traverse City, MI,  to Charles and Norma Kellogg. She was the third of five children. On September 16, 1967, she married Thomas Tippett. They had 2 children, Douglas, and Michelle. She was an amazing wife and mother and very devoted to her family.  She became a nurse in 1987, fulfilling one of her lifelong passions.  Teresa loved God and was the ultimate prayer warrior. If you knew her, she prayed for you! Because of her love of the Lord, she helped Tom develop No Fence Too High Ministries that focused on spreading the gospel to the incarcerated. Also being a part of the Keryx community, she and Tom met many, many amazing people while serving in this capacity.

She loved the Detroit Tigers; she was their #1 devoted fan! She would reminisce about listening to the games on an old transistor radio with her daddy on the back porch. Her childhood dream was to one day become a Tiger as she was an exceptional softball player.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thomas Tippett; her beloved dog Charlie; her children, Douglas (Shelly) Tippett, and Michelle (Russell) Schwartz; her grandchildren, Kayla (Andy) Brown, Gabriel Schwartz, Jacqueline Schwartz, and Alex Schwartz; her great grandchildren, Killian Lowther and Sloane Schwartz; her mother-in-law, Merlyn Tippett; her sister, Clydell (Kevin) Willis, her brother, William (Crystal) Kellogg; her sister-in-law, Janet Moats; Her brothers-in-law, Robert Tippett, Dennis (Kathy) Tippett, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Norma; her father-in-law, Marion Tippett; two brothers, John Kellogg and Richard Kellogg; her sister-in-law, Sue Kellogg; and her precious granddaughters, Emalee and Madisyn Tippett.

A celebration of life will be held for Teresa at Stutsmanville Chapel on Thursday, July 13 at 11am. A family visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers we ask that charitable donations be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in her honor at www.lbda.org/honor-your-loved-one/ . The association has been close to her heart since Tom was Diagnosed in 2020.
