Ted H. Miller

Ted H. Miller, 59 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Thursday, October 15, 2015. Born September 11, 1956 in Waukegan, IL, Ted was the son of Louis and Doris (Johnson) Miller.

Ted lived in northern Illinois for most of his life and he worked 20 years at Cherry Electric in Quality Control. For more than 20 years he had looked forward to visiting his family in Gaylord, using his vacation time to come during Alpenfest, where he enjoyed being a volunteer.

In 2010 he moved to Gaylord and continued to be an active part of Alpenfest, receiving the Dar Award in 2006 in recognition of his longtime commitment. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. For the last few years Ted had worked at Meijer.

He is survived by his brothers, Ric (Jennifer) Miller and Mark (Lorna) Miller both of Gaylord, his sister, Linda (William) Diekman of Northport, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00-700 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Michaywe Inn The Woods. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Gaylord Alpenfest.
