Tamara J Bunker

Tamara Janet “Tammy” Bunker, age 49, of Gaylord, went to live in Heaven with her Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2013 after a short and courageous bout with cancer. She was born to Ronald and Janet (Johnson) Woldt on January 14, 1964 in Saginaw, Michigan. Both have preceded her in death.
Tammy was a 1982 graduate of Frankenmuth High School. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Delta College in 1989. As a Registered Nurse she worked for the Lutheran Home Care Agency in Frankenmuth; Munson Medical Center Home Health Care and Hospice of Michigan in Gaylord and Grandvue Medical Care Facility in East Jordan.
She married Leonard D. Bunker on September 1, 2001 in Tawas City. Her family and pets were her number one priority. She enjoyed gardening, watching “her” birds, boating with her family, attending her sons football games, spending time with her daughter, the annual family 4th of July get together and hunting Petoskey stones on the shore of Lake Huron – rain or shine. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of humor, strong will, generous personality and huge capacity of caring for others.
She is survived by her husband Leonard D. Bunker; two children, Tiffany Windish and Travis Windish both of Gaylord; five stepchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Bunker of Holland; Nathan (Allison) Bunker of Fife Lake; Holly (Trevor) Ball of Kalkaska; Tony (Sara) Bunker of Box Elder, SD; Amy Bunker of Thompsons Station, TN; 10 step grandchildren; one sister Vickie (Ken) Boesnecker of Frankenmuth; two brothers, Steven (Barbara) Woldt of Howell; Gregory (Pam) Woldt of Nashville, TN; 3 nieces, Alicia (Bill) Scott; Melissa Woldt; Sheena (Joel) Wilken; 5 nephews, Erich Woldt; Cody Woldt; Aaron (Angela) Lerash; Brent Lerash; Chad Lerash; cousin Mira (Greg) Edgerton; aunt Tecla (Woldt) Binder; uncle Charles (Ruth) Johnson.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gaylord with Rev. Todd Brunworth officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 am until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial donations for Tiffany and Travis’s college funds in care of Vickie Boesnecker. Envelopes will be available at the church.
