Susan Kay Grebe, 64 of Harbor Springs, passed away on November 11, 2024, at home, after a long illness.
Susan was born on June 27, 1960, to Clinton and Carmen (Pearson) Hall in Petoskey, Michigan. She was number five of six children, outnumbered with her sister, two to four. She and her siblings grew up in Harbor Springs where she graduated from high school in 1978. She met and fell in love with Frederick “Fritz” Grebe, and they were married at their home in Harbor Springs where they spent many happy years together.
Susan lived a full life of loving and caring for others. She was generous and caring to all of her family. She had a career of 35 years at the Emmet County Care Facility. Winter months were spent crocheting and working on puzzles. She loved the outdoors and spent much time camping with family and friends. She even dabbled in fishing with Fritz. Susan’s love for her family showed in all she did with them, spending time with them whenever possible. She especially enjoyed her time with her great niece Gracelyn, and her two lifelong BFF’s, Darold from Harbor Springs and Doug (Clint) from Alpena. Another love of Susan’s life was her Terrier, Phoebe.
Susan is survived by her siblings, Jean (Chip) Radle of Harbor Springs, Mike (Debbie) Hall of Alanson, Roy (Nancy) Hall, Russ (April) Hall both of Harbor Springs, David (Merilee) Hall of Pickford; nieces and nephews, Heidi (David) Foxworthy of Howell, Jeff (Katie) Radle, Scott (Nichole) Hall both of Harbor Springs, Jodi (Scott) Niswander of Petoskey, Ashley Hall of Harbor Springs, and Kaycee Garrod of Peyton, CO, Jennifer (Dillon) Baker of Alanson, CJ (Amy) Hall of Harbor Springs, Montana (Alex) Hall, Justin Hall, both of Alanson, and Lydia (Jaylon) Hall of Pickford; and 11 great nieces and nephews.
