Shirley Ann Millay, 80 of Wolverine, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
Born on May 2, 1938 in Paragould, Arkansas, Shirley was the daughter of Andrew and Juliah (Medsker) Crossno.
Shirley and her husband, Charles, moved from Arkansas to Flint in 1959. In 1994 she moved to Wolverine to raise 3 grandsons. After retiring, Charles joined her in Wolverine.
Shirley led a busy life raising her family. She was also a licensed real estate agent working at Home Market Real Estate in Linden.
Shirley was an active member of Vanderbilt Community Church. She was also secretary/treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary in Wolverine, a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Vanderbilt, the Cheboygan County Wild Turkey Federation and Afton Deer Management.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Charles; four sons, Terry (Sheila) Millay of Paragould, AR, Charles E. (Deborah) Millay of Mt. Morris, Michael Millay of Linden and Frank (Kim) Millay of Swartz Creek; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters, Jane Harrington of Billings, MT and Stella Robertson of Forsyth, MO and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Vanderbilt Community Church. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Vanderbilt Community Church.
