Sharon Jeanne Udebrock, 81 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Monday, June 14, 2021 after a long illness.
Born on August 18, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of George Vernon and Shirley Jean (Schulwitz) Storer. Sharon grew up in Berkley, Michigan, graduating from Berkeley High School in 1957.
She went on to attend the Carnegie Institute where she received her Associate Degree as a Certified Medical Assistant in 1977. Sharon worked as a nurse at several doctors offices in Southfield and Troy, Michigan
On December 19, 1959 Sharon was united in marriage to Jack H. Udebrock at the Berkeley Lutheran Church. They lived in several locations over the years while Jack was an officer in the United States Navy, later returning to Berkeley. Having been part time residents at their Michaywe home in Gaylord since 1982, they became full time residents in 2000.
Sharon and Jack were members of Huntington Woods Lutheran Church in Huntington Woods and Trinity Lutheran Church in Gaylord.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as fun loving lady with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed being around people, and they enjoyed her. Sharon also enjoyed playing Bridge and working crossword puzzles and she was a lover of lighthouses.
In addition to her husband, Jack, Sharon is survived by a son, Gregory Udebrock of Gaylord; a daughter-in-law, Akemi Udebrock of Hiroshima, Japan; grandchildren, Tony, Brian, Jennifer, Brittany, Mitchell and Natasha; six great grandchildren; her half sister, Caroline Carney of Indianapolis; her brother, Cort Storer of Lathrup Village; a brother-in-law, Robert (Laurie) Udebrock of Livonia; a sister-in-law, Betty White of Livonia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Donald George Udebrock and Michael Jack Udebrock.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gaylord at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 26, 2021 Interment will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township
