Sharon Ann Mackowiak

Sharon Ann Mackowiak, 69, of Gaylord, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 8, 2012. Born on July 31, 1943 in Detroit, she was the daughter of Bernard and Clara (Szymanski) Smith. Sharon had worked at Glen’s Market and for several years she worked in the office of Donald Cousineau, D.O. She last worked at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Medical Records. Sharon was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed boating, bowling and watching movies and she especially enjoyed garage sales. She loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dogs. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jerry Smith and in 1985 by her husband, Daniel Mackowiak Sr. She is survived by her longtime companion, Ken Jutras; a daughter Cassie (Todd) Wyles of Naperville, IL; sons Daniel (Melissa) Mackowiak Jr. of Johannesburg, David (Cindy) Mackowiak and Dennis (Lisa) Mackowiak all of Gaylord; grandchildren Madalyn, Cole, Danny, Tristan, Kennedy, Alex, Laney, Paige and Nicholas; a brother, Patrick (Ila) Smith of Virginia Beach, VA; sisters Sandra (Dennis) Hernden and Sally Smith of Clinton Twp; nieces Rachel and Robin; and nephews Dennis, Kris, Patrick and Joey.
