Ryan John Riesen

Ryan John Riesen, 22 of Alanson and formerly of Wolverine, passed away at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey on Friday, June 5, 2015. Born in Petoskey on December 11, 1992, Ryan was the son of John R. Riesen and Patricia L. Ogden. A lifelong area resident, Ryan lived in Wolverine and was a 2011 graduate of Inland Lakes High School.

He worked at the Terrace Inn at Bayview in the kitchen and in maintenance. He also worked at Home Depot and Lowe’s assembling grills and other products for in store displays. He was a graduate of Medical First Responder training in Cheboygan and a member of the Wolverine Volunteer Fire Department. An avid fisherman, Ryan also enjoyed music and playing guitar, video games and computers.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Rochelle and a daughter, Riley; his parents, Patricia L. Ogden and John R. (Grace) Riesen all of Wolverine; brothers, Joshua Ogden and Matthew (Jami) Ogden all of Wolverine and Scotty Gram of Fife Lake; a sister, Cassie Riesen of South Dakota; his paternal grandparents, Diana (Dr. Brian) Donlon of Oxford and Gary (Delaney) Provencher of Monroe; nephews; Brayan and Liam Ogden of Wolverine; a special aunt, Ginny (Gary) Sumerix of Grayling and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service and celebration of Ryan’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Wolverine Fire Hall, 12990 Afton Road in Wolverine.

Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Wolverine Volunteer Fire Department.
