Ruth Ann Locke, 77 of Lewiston, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, February 1, 2016. Born in Roseville, MI on July 19, 1938, Ruth was the daughter of Homer and Golden (Willis) Patrick.

On August 17, 1955 Ruth married Duane F. Locke in Roseville, where they lived and raised their family until moving to Lewiston in 1987. Ruth attended St. Francis Catholic Church in Lewiston and the Church of God in Mio. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family as well as knitting, crocheting and embroidery. She was a member of Women of the Moose in Mio and later in Lewiston and the Eagles Lodge in Comins. She was also a member of the Fun Ones Snowmobile Club in Lewiston.

Ruth is survived by Duane, her husband of more than 60 years; her children, Ken (Carol) Locke of Roseville, Dan (Tammy) Locke of Mio, Randy (Carolyn) Locke of Sterling Heights, Jeff Locke of Lewiston and Lisa Murphy of Lewiston; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Agnes Patrick of Clay City, KY, Nancy Walczak of Greenvalley, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lori Ann Locke; a brother, Edward Patrick and sisters, Elsie Abney, Catherine Turturice and Dorothy Ottinger.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will take place in the spring. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan.
