Ronnie Lynn Wilding

Ronnie Lynn Wilding, 65 of Lewiston, passed away at home on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Born on December 9, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Robert and Carol (Bundy) Wilding.

The family so appreciates the following description of Ronnie’s life in Lewiston, it comes directly from the Pure Lewiston Facebook page… “A Lewiston resident since 1967, Ronnie Wilding loved living there. Graduating from JLHS in 1976, he continued his family’s ventures in owning businesses in Lewiston.

He owned an arcade in the old Alfano building, where he also printed and sold T Shirts. He owned and managed the original car wash—a clean car was important to him. Ronnie spent many years as a used car salesman and enjoyed it tremendously—blending his love of cars with his love of people! His latest venture has been Four Season Paint and Stain—beautifying homes and cottages in the area.

Ronnie was a volunteer fireman for Albert Township for many years and a supporter of other local organizations. He loved anything with an engine and always had the need for speed. He loved Lewiston and loved being a big part of it, generously helping in a number of local initiatives, always quick to say a good word about his town. He was the man who made sure the area snowmobile trails were groomed and ready for the winter wanderers.

He loved his dogs. He loved putting a wrench to motorcycles and race cars and found his greatest joy in helping others. He enjoyed the latest fashion but was most comfortable in a T-shirt reflecting his past adventures, and of course, a cool hat.”

Ronnie survived by his wife, Cheryl.  They were married in Las Vega, NV on March 24, 2017.  Cheryl was the love of his life and soulmate.  Together, Ronnie, Cheryl, and Jacob became the family he had always wanted.

Also surviving is his son, Jacob McDowell of Lewiston; hs sister, Renee Allendorf of Johannesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert “Dink” Stickler.
