Robert J. Dipzinski Sr.

Robert J. Dipzinski Sr, 80 of Gaylord, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital with his wife by his side. Born on March 18, 1938 in Detroit, Bob was the son of Mack and Helen (Zimbicki) Dipzinski.

Bob proudly served his country in the United State Navy. For 35 years, he worked for Chrysler. He loved gardening, ice cream, classic cars, listening to music, morel and deer hunting, crossword puzzles, watching hockey and boxing. He and his wife, Frances were active parishioners at St. Mary Cathedral for many years. Together, they built a legacy that their children and grandchildren will cherish forever.

On July 2, 1966, Bob married the love of his life, Frances who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Robert Jr of Gaylord, John of Rochester Hills; his daughter, Carol (Lloyd) Spear of Oxford; grandchildren, Brody, Megan and Rowan; brothers, Charles (Margie) Dipzinski of Gaylord, Phillip (Beth) Dipzinski of Gaylord and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jerome and Mitchell Dipzinski.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at St. Mary Cathedral where visitation will begin at 9:30 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
