Robert D. Doemer

Robert Dennis Doemer, 52 of Gaylord, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at home.

Born in Royal Oak on January 31, 1964, Bob was the son of Dennis and Judith (Marshall) Doemer.  He was a graduate of Henry Ford High School.

Bob worked in several occupations throughout his life, and last worked as an insurance agent.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting.  Spending time at deer camp this past hunting season with sons, daughter, brother and grandkids was very special for him.  He was a sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed hockey, football and NASCAR.

Bob loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  He also had a keen sense of humor, loved to laugh and enjoyed making other people laugh.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Angel Dismore of Gaylord; his children, Danielle Stoddard and Ryan Doemer of Gaylord; step children, Brandon (Nicole) Himmel of Clinton Twp, and Dewain Lockwood and Jared Lockwood both of Gaylord; eight grandchildren; his mother Judith Marshall of Clinton Twp, his step mother, Carole Doemer of Oxford; sisters, Gwynne (Ryan) Bambach of Troy and Wendy Marshall of Clinton Twp; brothers, Brian (Nicole) Doemer of Grayling and David (Anna) Luptak of Berkley; and several nieces and nephews.  Bob was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Doemer and a brother, Scott Doemer.

A memorial dinner for Robert Doemer will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 2-5 pm at the Aspen Clubhouse, 204 Aspen Commons Drive, Gaylord.  All are welcome to attend.
