Robert C. Taliaferro

Robert C. “Telly” Taliaferro, 64 of Vanderbilt, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Tendercare Gaylord. Born in Grosse Pointe on May 23, 1953, he was the son of Robert and Jeanne (Benignus) Taliaferro.

In 1971, Telly graduated from Harper Woods High School. In his later years, his dream was to move up north. He lived in the Wolverine and Vanderbilt areas for over 25 years. He enjoyed woodworking and riding his motorcycle. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sister, Diane (Mike) Japowicz of St. Clair Shores, two step-daughters, Ruth Johnson and Jamie Amaya; his nephew, Mike Japowicz Jr. of St. Clair Shores and two nieces, Laurel Dallas and Jennifer Japowicz.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
