Robert A. Wright III

Robert “Bob” Alexander Wright III, 71 of Gaylord, was born on October 10, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan to Robert Alexander II and Lorraine Dorothy (nee: Malinowski) Wright. Bob passed away in Traverse City with family by his side on February 6, 2024. 

Bob is survived by his wife of 25 years, Janice Wright of Gaylord; his 2 daughters from a previous marriage, Heidi (Doug) Wyand of North Carolina, Katie (Jay) Zack of Gaylord; 3 bonus daughters, Michelle (Scott) Schwartz of Grayling, Pamela (Eddie) Roach of Gladwin, and Jennifer Wilkins (Danielle Duke) of Holly; 4 grandkids, Brandon, Hannah, Hailey, Breanna; 8 bonus grandkids, Callie, Emily, Kyla, Jessica, Crystal, Brandy, Britny and Joey; 1 great-grand baby and 13 bonus great-grand kids. 

Bob had a lasting career in the food industry where he achieved numerous professional accolades and formed many lifelong friendships. 

If Bob wasn’t working at one of his 2 part time jobs, he could be found volunteering at the Otsego County Food Pantry where he enjoyed helping others. He also enjoyed watching  the Detroit Red Wings hockey games, riding his bike around town, walking his dog, Abbie and enjoyed time at the casino with his wife. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 younger siblings, Marsha Barry, and David Wright. 

A memorial gathering celebrating Bob’s life is welcome to join the family on Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Otsego County Food Pantry. Please share your memories and personal messages with the family on his guestbook below.
