Robert O. Wolf

Robert O. Wolf, 89 of Lakeworth, FL, passed away at his son’s home in Gaylord on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. A longtime Florida resident, Bob was born in Gaylord on June 17, 1925. He was the son of Arthur and Margaret (Clark) Wolf.

Bob grew up in Gaylord and left as a young man to join the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. On March 12, 1949 Bob married Gloria M. Smith. They were longtime residents of Florida where Bob was a self employed carpenter. Gloria, his wife of 65 years preceded him in death on June 29, 2014. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his sons; Tony (Barb Waite) Wolf of Gaylord and Terry Wolf of Morrison, CO; and grandchildren, Tristen, Tony and Theresa. One of sixteen children, Bob is survived by sisters, Laura Hausler of Missouri, Emily Oettle of Gaylord, Susie Wolf of Gaylord, Illah (Bill) Webber of Arizona and Ruth (Jerry) Phillips of Gaylord; brothers, Joe (Emma) Wolf of Florida, Harry (Pat) Wolf of Gaylord, Ernie (Carol) Wolf of Gaylord and Roy (Clevanne) Wolf of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Northcut and Nora Ellen Wolf and brothers, John Clark, Paul Wolf, Art Wolf and Ray Wolf.

Bob’s family will remember him at a private family gathering. Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 850 North Center Avenue.
