Robert Gordon Drummond

Robert Gordon Drummond, 84 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Munson Otsego Memorial Hospital.

 Born in Detroit, Michigan on March 19, 1940, he was the son of Gordon Leroy and Marion Gertrude (Look) Drummond. Bob grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from St. Anthony Catholic High School in 1958.

 Bob married the love of his life, Sally Ann Goranson, on April 20, 1963. They lived in St. Clair Shores and New Baltimore for many years where they raised their two children. 

 Bob enjoyed a long career with United Parcel Service in southeast Michigan, where he was a maintenance supervisor, responsible for a large fleet of vehicles. After retiring in January of 1995, Bob and Sally moved to Gaylord.

 He enjoyed his life as a husband, dad, and grandpa. Bob loved dogs and was a dog dad to his beloved dogs, Cody and Goldie. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting with his son and camping with family. Bob was an avid RC model airplane enthusiast, who enjoyed building and flying his airplanes. He was a former member of Alpine Leisure Pilots Society in Gaylord. 

 Bob is survived by his wife, Sally; his children, Sandra (Dave) Teer of Port Huron, and Erik Joseph Drummond of Riley Township; grandchildren, Brittany (Hannah) Drummond and Joseph Ryan Drummond-Weaver; a sister, Judith Hofmann of Gaylord; a brother, Thomas (Kathy) Drummond of Roseville; one niece, and three nephews. 

 He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Margaret Drummond; a brother, James Drummond; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Hofmann.

 In keeping with Bob’s wishes, his family will remember him privately. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in his memory to the Otsego County Animal Shelter, 256 Fairview Rd, Gaylord, MI 49735.
