Robert Wayne Dowker II

Robert Wayne Dowker II, 77 of Gaylord, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital. Born September 25, 1945, in Grayling, he was the son of Robert Wayne and DeEtta (Wiggins) Dowker.

Wayne loved anything to do with baseball. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and the Detroit Red Wings games.

He is survived by his four children, Jamie Dowker of Gaylord, Kevin Dowker of Arlington, VA., Chad Dowker of Annandale, VA, and Heather Dowker of Vanderbilt; two brothers, David Dowker of Charlotte, NC., and Clark Dowker of Johannesburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Jeanette Dowker in 2018.

A memorial service will take place 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, where the family will visit with friends beginning at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
