Richard Thomas Amborski, 71, died Feb 7, 2017, at his home in Gaylord, Michigan.
Mr. Amborski was born March 3, 1945, in Grayling, Michigan to Regina and Stanley Amborski.
Rich served honorably in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War as a medic.
Richi was well known for his time serving patrons at Mary's tavern. He was an avid chess player, successful fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with friends at the Gaylord Eagles having a beer and hustling everyone at a game of pool.
Although Richi didn’t show his soft side to everyone, he had a heart of gold and always helped a friend in need. Richi will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor.
He is survived by his three children; his son, Travis Amborski and two daughters, Andrea Card and Robin Flores; their mother Christine; two grandchildren, Shelby and Hope; and his family, Louis and Linda; and Jane and Chuck.
In keeping with his wishes, no services are planned and the family will remember him privately.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Hospice of Michigan in Gaylord for their help and support.
Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Please share your memories and personal messages with the family at www.gaylordfuneralhome.com.
Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the family or Hospice of Michigan through the funeral home at P.O. Box 249, Gaylord, MI 49734.
