Richard Charles Flack

Richard C. Flack, 92 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Aspen Ridge Retirement Village.

Born on October 1, 1932, in Detroit, he was the son of Reginald and Lillian (Harlow) Flack. Richard was a graduate of Cooley High School and HFCC Trade School.

He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. After returning home he began a 33-year career as a millwright with General Motors Cadillac Motor Car Division.

In his spare time, Richard was an avid golfer, having had a hole in one on two occasions. He also enjoyed bowling and baseball.

He was preceded by his first wife, Patricia Marie (Kasenow) Flack, whom he married in 1952, on June 9, 1991.

His second wife, Madeline (Schlage) Flack, whom he married in 2003, also preceded him in death on May 29, 2015.

Richard is survived by his children, Debra Caillouet of Palmer, Alaska, and Mark Flack of Toledo, Ohio; two granddaughters, one grandson, and four great grandsons. He is also survived by his loving and devoted friends in Gaylord who include Mike Morley, Annie Rossi, and Dee Brand.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation will begin at 2:00 PM. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
