Rebecca Jane Osga

Rebecca Jane Osga, 56 of Frederic, passed away at home on Friday, May 31, 2019.

Born in Grayling on April 23, 1963, Jane was the daughter of Larry and Rebecca (Sworthwood) Baynham.  She grew up in Grayling and was a 1981 graduate of Grayling High School.

On January 5, 1985, Jane married Jay Osga in Grayling.  She was a lifelong resident of Grayling and Frederic.

For the past 22 years, she has been a secretary in the Middle School of Crawford-Ausable Schools.  She was loved and respected by her many friends there, co-workers and students alike.

Jane loved any opportunity to spend time with her family and many friends, especially looking forward to family vacations.  She was her children’s and grandchildren’s biggest fan, present to cheer them at all of their athletic events.  She also enjoyed spending time in her garden.

Surviving is Jay, her husband of 34 years; her children, James “Jimmy” Osga of Frederic and her daughter, Nichole Youngblood of Prudenville; her very special grandchildren, Justin and Jasmine Youngblood of Frederic; her father and step mother, Larry and Alice Baynham of Grayling; brothers, Ed (Patti) Baynham and Ted (Ali) Baynham both of Grayling; a sister, Joan (Art) Canfield of Florence, WI; a sister-in-law, Sandy (Tom Weideman) Baynham of Grayling and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Baynham in 2010 and a brother, Larry Baynham in 2012.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Heritage Baptist Church, 1841 Hartwick Pines Rd, Grayling, MI  49738.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the March of Dimes, 3001 Orchard Vista SE, Suite 250, Grand Rapids, MI  49546
