Randy J. Rabineau, 49 of Gaylord, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on April 5, 1968, Randy was the son of Ronald H. and Marilyn J. (Bovington) Rabineau Sr. Raised in Sault Ste. Marie, he also lived in Adrian for several years, later returning to Sault Ste. Marie. Since 2012 he has lived in Gaylord.

Randy had worked as a home health aide, though he primarily worked in sales and marketing for Fastenal and later Gold Eagle Supply.

Randy enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time with his kids camping, fishing and snowmobiling. He looked forward to the I-500 snowmobile race each year.

He is survived by his five children, Justin Rabineau of Lansing and Parker, Keegan, Camron and Emma Rabineau all of Lenoir City, TN; his former wife, Donielle Taylor of Lenoir City, TN; his mother, Marilyn (Bernard) Watts of Thessalon, Ontario; his brother, Ronald (Carol) Rabineau of Gaylord; sisters, Roxann (Barry) Guzzo of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Rhonda (Jerry) Buterakos of Grand Haven, Cindy (Tim) Pepper of Jackson; step-mother, Larraine Menominee and step sister Sheila Jones both of Kansas City, KS; step-brother, Robert Rabineau of Hopkinsville, KY and many nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Rabineau Sr.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Gaylord E-Free Church where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Gaylord Evangelical Free Church or Hospice of Michigan.
