Randy A. Manhire, 57 of Vanderbilt, passed away at home on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
Born on June 8, 1960 in Highland Park, Randy was the son of Roy and Mary (Jardine) Manhire. After graduating from Fitzgerald High School in Warren, Randy joined the U.S. Navy, serving honorably from 1978-1982.
A licensed master plumber, Randy was the owner of Arms Plumbing in Hazel Park until moving to Vanderbilt with his wife, Rebecca in 2000.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and he enjoyed U.S. History. He was also a member of Free & Accepted Masons and the Shrine.
Randy is survived by Rebecca, his wife of 28 years; his children, Adam (Frankie Mullins) Reno of Eastpointe, Amanda (Terry) Koronka of Gaylord, Andrew (Heather) Reno of Johannesburg, Randy Manhire Jr. and Scott (Caterina Campbell) Manhire both of Vanderbilt; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Abby, Izzy, Richie, Landen, Madison, Jadyn, Andrew II, Zayden, Ryder, Jaxon, Roman and Shelby; his father, Roy Manhire of Eastpointe; his older brother, Larry (Chris) Manhire of Ferndale and his mother-in-law, Patricia Moffett of Warren. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Music.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Detroit Liberty Hall, 10320 VanDyke, Detroit, MI 48234. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the family.
