Ramona M. Bartlett

Ramona Grusczynski Bartlett, 92 of Gaylord, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on Monday, January 24, 2022.

Born in Flint, Michigan on May 6, 1929, she was the daughter of Leonard and Lillian (Noirot) Gocha.

Mona married Joe Grusczynski in 1946. For 30 years she worked on the dairy farm side by side with her husband while raising their six children. She was a devoted mother who was always proud of her children’s accomplishments.

In her spare time she enjoyed baking for her family and canning fresh vegetables from her garden. She loved picking berries for her fruit pies and homemade jams.

Later in life, she married James Bartlett. She became very active with bowling, card groups, traveling and going to the casinos. Mona was an avid basketball fan, watching both the Detroit Pistons and St. Mary’s basketball games. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Our Lady of Grace Circle at St. Mary Cathedral.

Mona is survived by her children, Janet Lewandowski, Cindy (Stan) Krasucki, Rita (Greg Romej) Lindahl, Joe (Eva) Grusczynski and Connie (John) Hunter; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Grusczynski and James Bartlett; a daughter, Phyllis Roberts; sons-in-law, James Lewandowski and Craig Roberts; a granddaughter; a great grandson; and her brother, Glen Gocha.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Mary Cathedral in Gaylord where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. For those unable to attend, the funeral mass will be live streamed at www.stmarycathedral.org.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Otsego County Library, 700 S. Otsego Avenue, Gaylord, MI 49735.
