Phyllis J. LePard

Phyllis Jean LePard, 91 of Gaylord, formerly of Flint and Lakes of the North passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Otsego Memorial Hospital.

Phyllis was born on July 26, 1926 in Detroit, she was daughter of Charles and Zana Haver.

On June 12, 1954 she married Don LePard in Flint. In 1987 she and her husband moved to Lakes of the North. Years after her husband’s passing, in 2014 she moved to The Brook in Gaylord. She was an avid reader, gardener, enjoyed animals, bird watching and traveling.

She is survived by 3 children, Jeanette (Richard) Allen of Otisville, Kimberly (Bill Barnes) LePard of Oak Forest, IL, and James LePard of Gaylord; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don Haver.

A memorial service will take place 1:00 P.M.  Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Gaylord First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dan Bowman officiating.

She will be interred with her husband at the Mancelona United Methodist Church memorial garden. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Gaylord First United Methodist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
