Penny S. Hollopeter

Penny S. Hollopeter, 74 of Cheboygan, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at home.

Born on September 23, 1949, in Bennettsville, SC, she was the daughter of Richard Carl and Ellarie Rose (Harrington) Caribo.

On April 23, 1983, Penny was married to Dickie Hollopeter on April 23, 1983.  They made their home in Cheboygan until his death in 2019.

A dedicated homemaker, wife, mom and grandmother, Penny also enjoyed playing cards and board games, nature walks, trips to the beach, and swimming.  She was a dedicated member of Life Worship Center in Cheboygan, as well as the local jail ministry and Lord’s Kitchen in Cheboygan.

She is survived by her children, Lori Slattery, Jamie Hollopeter, and Willie (Tracy) Hollopeter; grandchildren, Patrick Slattery, Courtney Parrot, Zoey Hollopeter, Deeanna Hollopeter, and Anthony Hollopeter; several great grandchildren; brothers Mike (Tammy) and Rick Caribo; and several nieces and nephews.  She was also preceded in death by a grandson, William David Lee Hollopeter.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Life Worship Center 901 W. VFW Road, Cheboygan, MI  49721.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the church.
