Paul Marvin Larsen

Paul M. Larsen, 82 of Gaylord, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at The Villa in Petoskey.

Born in Detroit on August 21, 1935, Paul was the son of Chris and Harriet (Estrup) Larsen.

On March 18, 1973 Paul married Irene E. (Tripp) Boisjolie in Las Vegas.  They lived in southern California for many years where Paul enjoyed a career in sales with Interstate Brands.

After retiring in 1994, Paul and Irene moved from Carlsbad, CA to Gaylord.  An outgoing person who enjoyed visiting with others, Paul went to work at Nautilus in Gaylord.  There he enjoyed the friendships he built with their many members.  He and Irene enjoyed traveling worldwide in retirement.  Paul was an avid dog lover.

Surviving is Irene, his wife of 44 years; his children, Debra (Jerry) Carpenter of River Falls, WI, Pamela Zappa of Hudson, WI, Lawrence (Darla) Boisjolie of Oceanside, CA and Jeffrey (Bonnie) Gedney of LaQuinta, CA; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Donald (June) Larsen of Georgia; and his extended family.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Grebb.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Otsego County Humane Society, Friends for Life or the Otsego County Commission on Aging.
