Paulette Jean Cunning

Paulette Cunning (Tonda) of Petoskey passed away on 11/09/2016 at the age of 63, after a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. She leaves behind her husband, Daniel Cunning; her brother, Michael Tonda (Kelly Mankin), sister-in-law, Susan Cunning, friends and co-workers.

Paulette was born on October, 26, 1953 and was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Catherine Tonda and her brother Lawrence.  Paulette grew up in a loving family in Warren, MI.  She graduated from Warren Woods High School class of 1972; where she developed friendships she carried her entire life.

Paulette married her soulmate Daniel Cunning on September 10th, 1982.  They ultimately relocated to Petoskey, MI, where Paulette enjoyed her job in medical records at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital. Paulette was dedicated to her work.

Paulette loved boating, hiking, swimming, camping and the great outdoors.  She also had a secret love of cooking shows and a deep love for animals.

When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 Paulette beat that battle.   When diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015 she remained dedicated in her work and the will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, determined woman throughout her final months.
