Pamela Jean Tolar, 65 of Vanderbilt, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Born April 11, 1953, Pam was the daughter of August Ravezzani and Virginia (Hewitt) Ravezzani. Pam graduated from Finney High School in 1971. Growing up in Detroit, she moved to northern Michigan in 1979 with her family.
Pam was a former co-owner of a lumber company based in Onaway, MI. She also worked in several other industries, including restaurants and healthcare. She was an animal lover, especially of dogs, cats and horses. She enjoyed collecting jewelry, masks and plants. She also enjoyed watching daytime television. If you called during her favorite programs, she would call you back when they were over. Most of all, Pam enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, all of whom were her pride and joy.
Pam is survived by her husband Jon Tolar, her four children Michael (Danielle) DiAmico, Heather Fisher, Louis Vroman and Whitney Vroman; eight grandchildren, Ashlee, Michael, Brianna, Jadyn, Ellie, Ayven, Moira and Amara; one great-grandchild, Rogue; and three brothers and a sister, Steven (Judy) Ravezzani, Sharon (Norman) Fasse, Carl (Connie) Ravezzani and Scott (Holly) Ravezzani.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service at noon. Visitation will be held that morning at 10:00.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
