Nicholas P. "Nick" Cafuk

Nicholas P. “Nick” Cafuk, 88 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at home.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Nick was the son of Stephan and Pauline (Ulcar) Cafuk. 

On February 18, 1954, Nick and Mary Jane Rutkowski were married in Detroit. They lived in the Detroit area before moving to Gaylord in 1980.

Nick worked in the construction industry as a drywall finisher. He also worked at White Tool & Die, Big Lots, the Otsego County Sportsplex, and Perfecto. 

He was always a hard worker, but in his spare time he enjoyed woodworking.

Nick was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane in 2015. He is survived by his sons, Steve (Carol) Cafuk and Paul Cafuk, both of Gaylord, Tony (Julie) Cafuk of Daytona Beach, FL and Michael (Suzanne) Feranti of Lake Orion, MI; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Steve and Paul Cafek.

In keeping with his wishes, his family will remember him privately. Interment will be at Hayes Township Cemetery in Gaylord.
