Nancy K. Deerfield

Nancy K. Deerfield, 84 of Gaylord, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at her sons home surrounded by her family. Born in Farmington on February 5, 1933, she was the daughter of Charles and Florence (Moore) Thornton.

She was an avid sports fan including college and NFL football and basketball. She loved going to craft shows and garage sales. Nancy enjoyed following equestrian, car racing and monitoring the police and fire scanner. She had a big heart for animals and would often be rescuing and fostering them. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Diana) Deerfield of Gaylord and Donald (Pepper) Deerfield of Colorado Springs; her special grandchildren, Tyler and Jordan Deerfield, Brittney (Brendan) McNeal; her great-grandchildren, Oliver Deerfield and Isabella McNeal; and her beloved dog, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
