Nancy Anne Patterson, 63 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Saturday, March 2, 2019.

Born in Wyandotte, Nancy was the adopted daughter of Alvie and Dorothy (DeGarmo) Patterson.

Nancy served honorably in the United States Army.  She finished her military service as a medical assistant at Walter Reed Army Hospital and she later worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Battle Creek.  She also worked as a guard at the Washtenaw County Women’s Correctional Facility.  Nancy went on to have a successful career as a real estate agent in Grand Rapids where she was a member of the Million Dollar Club.  In 1992 she moved to Lewiston and then to Gaylord in 2011.

Nancy was a member of Ralph Holewinski VFW Post #1518 and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Gaylord.  She was an accomplished piano player and she loved riding motorcycles.  Nancy also enjoyed wildlife and photography.  She will be remembered for always being willing to help others.

Surviving is her daughter, Victoria Haney of Gaylord; grandchildren, Deztiny, Timothy and Kailynn; a sister, Pamela Hoffman; brothers, Kenneth Hoffman and Carl Hoffman and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Dorothy Patterson; a brother, Kenneth Patterson; and a sister, Phyllis Meadows.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM.  A reception, immediately following the service will be held at the Gaylord Eagles Hall.
