Nadia Diane Loeschke

Nadia Diane Loeschke, 63 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Saturday, December 16, 2017 after a long fight against cancer.

Nadia was born in Clinton Township on January 28, 1954 to Donald R. and Diane H. (Scott) Loeschke.

Her family lived in southern California for more than 30 years where Nadia worked with her father in steel fabrication at Arpico Steel.  Due to her hard work there, she was listed in Who’s Who of Southern California.

Nadia loved loud music, art and the writings of Rumi and Peter Pan.  She danced throughout her life to the beat of her own drum.  She was a one of a kind firecracker in this world and her spark will always be with those her knew her forever.

She was the beloved mother of Timin Loeschke; grandmother of Caitlyn Victoria, Arion Joseph, Amber Elise and Autumn Raine; great grandmother to Ivan Carl; and sister of Tanja Manique (Michael Steven) Duvall.

Nadia is also survived by her nephews, Donald Blaine (DeAnn) Loeschke and Jordache Loeschke; great nephews, Adam Michael Joerger and Donald Joerger Jr; cousins, Charlene & Gary Palmer and Julie Bandlow; and her goddaughter, Amethyst Mann.

Nadia will be missed by her lifelong friend of more than 40 years, Gayle Bird Revis.

In lieu of flowers those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in her memory to Hospice of Michigan in Gaylord to help with the important, caring work they do.

This is love; “To fly toward a secret sky, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment; first to let go of life; finally, to take a step without feet.”  -Rumi
