Misti L. Stewart

Misti Lorraine Stewart, 37 of Wolverine, passed away at U.P. Health System in Marquette on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 after being involved in an automobile accident on Monday, August 8, 2016.

Born in Phoenix, AZ on December 7, 1978, Misti was the daughter of Virgil D. Fuller and Suzanne Abbe.  Although she had spent much of her life in the Wolverine area, she had also lived in Arizona, California, Utah and Alaska.  She worked with her mother at her restaurants in California and Alaska.  In Gaylord, Misti worked at Bob Evans Restaurant and at Treetops.

A kind and gentle free spirit, Misti loved nature and the outdoors in any season.  She enjoyed canoeing and tubing down the Sturgeon River, camping and hiking.

Surviving are her son, Kaleob J. Stewart of Wolverine; her daughter, Bliss Rose Stewart and Bliss’ father, Tim Jaruzel both of Wolverine; her mother, Suzanne Abbe of Wolverine and her father, Virgil D. (Jane) Fuller of Cottonwood, AZ; her sister, Monica Jane (Mark) Stanger of Traverse City; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

Misti’s family will visit with friends from 4:00-8:00 PM on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  Arrangements for a memorial service to celebrate her life are pending and will be announced soon.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Misti’s family.
