Maxine A. Hunt

Maxine Almeda Hunt, 86 of Gaylord, passed away on February 23, 2024, at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City.  

She was born in Gaylord on May 24, 1937, to Walter Herman and Adelia Belle (Davis) Kreger.  She grew up in Sparr and graduated from Gaylord High School.

Maxine married Wesley Rea Hunt and lived her life in Gaylord.  She worked at Standard Products and later at K-Byte/Reptron for 25 years until she retired.   

Maxine enjoyed trips to the upper peninsula and to Canada to camp and fish.  She also enjoyed visiting casinos.

She is survived by her children, Michael John (Lori) Hunt, Tim Hunt, Gail (Greg) Tulgetske, Janice (Michael Wells) Hunt, and Jeff Hunt; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Hunt; a daughter, Mary Hunt; her husband, Wesley Rea Hunt; brothers, John Wayne Kreger, Dale Kreger, and Samuel Kreger; and a sister, Betty Galbraith.
