Mary E. Hewitt

Mary E. Hewitt, 88 of Gaylord, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at The Brook of Gaylord. Born on November 14, 1928 in Williamston, Mary was the daughter of Jean and Gladys Lockwood.

Mary loved to watch westerns while snacking on sweets and she loved to flirt. She will forever be known for her infectious giggle and we will hold her in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her children, Peggy (Robert) Hasselbach of Gaylord, Robert (Valerie) Hoag of Okemos and Linda (David) Mollitor of Zephyr Hills, FL; her brother, Dick (Barbara) Lockwood of Winter Haven, FL; her sisters, Ella Parrish of Winter Haven, FL and Edna (David) Scheffler of Morris; grandchildren, Erik (Tracy) Root of Myrtle Beach, SC., Ronda (Craig) Boehne of Brainerd, MN., and Marie (Chad) Lazarus of Mason; great grandchildren, Amanda, Robert, Ronnie, Devon, Johnny, Casey, Ricky, Ryan and Madison; great great grandchildren, Kaydence, Aiden and Remington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie; her son, Brian Hoag; her sisters, Barbara Sheski and Phyllis Miller.

The family has chosen to remember her privately. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Huntington’s Disease Society Association or to Hospice of Michigan.
