Mary Smith

Mary Smith, 62 of Boyne City, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey.

Born in Petoskey, Michigan on September 30, 1957, Mary was the daughter of Daniel and Betty (Robinson) Smith.  She grew up in Elmira and Boyne Falls, graduating from Boyne Falls High School in 1975.

Though she held various jobs throughout her life, in her heart she was a homemaker and mom.  She enjoyed living a simple life, devoted to her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed family time, often playing Skip-Bo, Canasta and other games with family and friends.  She also enjoyed her game shows, especially The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal.

Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Marti Hodgkin and their children, Vanessa, Jonathan, Devin, Alex and Izzee of Gaylord; her daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Chris Duff and their children, Savannah, Haylee and Makala of East Jordan; brothers, Dan (Cecelia) Smith, Bill (Karen Frohriep) Goff; sisters Kathy Goff, Noreen Clark and Margery; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; 1 brother and a nephew.
