Mary Jane Cafuk

Mary Jane Cafuk, 78 of Gaylord, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Tendercare Gaylord. Born in Detroit on June 30, 1937, she was the daughter of Casimir and Stella (Makowski) Rutkowski.

On February 18, 1954 Mary married Nicholas P. Cafuk in Detroit. A longtime resident of Gaylord, she had worked at the A&W Restaurant, at Glen’s Market as a cashier and as a breakfast hostess at the Hampton Inn. Mary enjoyed taking care of her family, and working crossword puzzles.

Surviving is her husband of 61 years, Nick; her sons, Steve (Carol) Cafuk of Gaylord, Tony (Julie) Cafuk of San Antonio, TX, Paul Cafuk of Gaylord and Michael (Suzanne) Feranti of Gaylord; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, James and Charles and her sister, Delores.
