Martin L. Damer

Martin L. Damer, 61 of Gaylord, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. Born on December 31, 1960 in Gaylord, he was the son of Louis and Stephanie (Cieslak) Damer.

On November 30, 1985, Marty married the love of his life, Dianne Slocum. Together, they raised two wonderful kids and created a beautiful life and legacy. Marty worked on the family farm, Kitchen Farms for 15 years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dianne Damer; two children, Amanda (Scott) Clark of Kalkaska, Nathan Damer and his girlfriend, Marissa Luck of Gaylord; one granddaughter, Kynzi Clark; his sister, Judy Pausits and his brother, Larry Damer. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place 2:00 PM Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 3098 US 131 Elmira, MI 49730. Lunch will be served at 3:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the family, Amanda Clark, PO Box 627, Gaylord, MI 49734.
