Mark Alan Fahler, 58 of Otsego Lake Township, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital.
Born in Gaylord on December 12, 1961, he was the son of Ralph D. and Delphine J. (Latuszek) Fahler. He grew up in Gaylord and was a 1980 graduate of Gaylord High School.
Mark worked as a steel cutter at IMM Inc. in Grayling for several years. He had previously worked at Gaylord Machine and Fabrication in Gaylord for 20 years as an accomplished machinist.
He will be remembered by his family and friends for his never ending willingness to help others with any problem or repair. His keen mind and ability to use common sense was unique and so helpful to others. Though not his occupation, he was also a skilled electrician.
Mark loved old things, especially electronics including old radios. He always enjoyed old radio swap meets. Mark also loved trips to the family camp north of Newberry and he never passed up a good campfire.
Surviving are his parents, Ralph (Ginger) Fahler and Delphine Fahler of Gaylord; brothers, Joel (Bonnie) Fahler, Kelly (Stephanie) Fahler and Michael (Tiffani) Fahler; a sister, Natalie (Dale) Gates; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements for a celebration of Mark’s life are pending and will be announced later. Following cremation, interment will be at the family “shack” in the Upper Peninsula.
Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Please share your memories and personal messages with the family at www.gaylordfuneralhome.com
